#picturefail: Valentine's edition

Sometimes I like to pretend I'm a photographer. I mean I have a fancy camera bag, that holds an even fancier DSLR camera, that I like to whip out for special ocassions to capture some memories with my little guy.

It was purchased for me, from my then fiance with poker points from his online account.

Now if that's not true love, I'm not sure what is. I mean, this is the guy who bought me an electric toothbrush for valentine's day last year. So he has that going for him.

Oh and by "then fiance" I hope you realize I'm referencing Nick. I've never had another fiance, but reading the above makes it sound like I did. {Just you, honey, it's always been you.}

Anyway, back to the matter at hand.

I've been a bit busy lately but knew I wanted to get some pics of my little valentine and possibly send some cards out to the fam.

So, of course, the night I had free was one where little man seemed to be having a crabby tantrum about every five minutes. Sure, sounds like a great time to try and wrestle him into some good shots.

And here is the result - I didn't even take time to edit these pics, because let's just be honest, no one is going to be changing their profile pic for one of these bad boys.

"mama I just want to lay here with my heart"

fuzzy face. boo.

just what is that white stuff in his hair?

will not give in and look at me for the life of him.

oh wait, there he does. with that annoyed expression.

seriously end of the world stuff right here

"mama, yook at me, i'm in jail"

cheeeeese {looks like he's saying, "there. ya happy?"}
It is moments like these I realize I'm not a photographer and there is a reason we pay professionals to take pictures for us common folk.

Let's just end this on a high note. Would you just look at this little rolly polly Cruz from vday two years ago?  I just want to reach through my screen and squeeze him to pieces.

linking up with Ashley

  1. he's too much. he's allowed to throw tantrums because he's so cute. kaye did the same thing…except with lots of tears. total disappointment.

  2. Aww, I love them all! He's such a cutie! Taking pictures of kids is hard!

  3. The cuteness that is your son is just too much to handle!! Love the expressions! One day you can bribe him with these...

  4. Too much cuteness, stopping by from the link-up. He is such a doll!

  5. Ahh the pics are still so precious! And the one from 2 years ago..melt! Xx.

  6. I read that about your then fiancé and thought you meant someone other than Nick. Too funny!

    I think some of these are great! And you know what? You are capturing who he is at this time in his life. Someday you'll look back and love these. :)

  7. Awe little baby Cruz!! I try and take photos often with my DSLR, I realize I quickly forget how to use it if I don't!

  8. haha i love this great attempt. i'd say you got some great shots in there! :)

  9. these pictures don't even need to be edited! they are sooo cute!!

  10. He would have made my fridge!!!!

  11. Your explanation of "then fiance" made me laugh, because it's true, the phrase can mean ex-fiance.... haha!

  12. Tory's not into photos these days either. It must be the age or something? He's still such a little heartbreaker cutie even if you didn't get the perfect shot. Love the tent, too!

  13. Oh my gosh! So incredibly cute! My little man can have the biggest smile in the world on his face...until i pull out the camera. Then straight faced. I swear they know!

  14. Such a cutie! Love your teepee :)

  15. Hahaha. Whhhhhy is it so dang hard to take pictures of a toddler? I can't wait til Clay is old enough for me to threaten/bribe (whatever I have to do) to get good pictures!

  16. Good photographer or not these pictures are adorbs!!!

Your comments make me smile! Thanks for taking the time to share some love =)
