Fall Style: Gap Does It Again

It's a happy day around here, for me at least, because Gap's fall styles are out and I'm love, love, loving them.

Let me tell you, I'm not a big Gap fan for myself. It's not that there is anything wrong with Gap, I just never, ever find anything for myself.

When it comes to Cruz, though? This mama finds boatloads of cute stuff for my little. And I love dressing him. Whoever said it's not fun dressing boys, well honey, they were dead wrong.

Not only that but they have 40% off everything (Gap Friends & Family) through tomorrow. Only 35% off regular styles for non-card holders (not a bad thing, but I do love me my Gap card for this reason).

So I thought I would share a couple of outfits I've been crushing on lately.

Aaaand a couple of these items may or may not have landed in my bag when I was at the store earlier today.

Shh...don't tell my hubby. I sort of promised him no shopping for a while due to the packages arriving on our porch on the daily.

And because the reason we were at the store today was to pick up few key pieces for a gorgeous little's first birthday party, I had the chance to browse through the gal clothes and just about fell.in.love. Seriously, even though I love dressing my guy? Oh man, I fell in love with so many of the clothes I checked out today. I may need to get me one of these baby girls someday...so I can live my dreams of fashion through them.

So, I'm pretty sure I found almost 80 outfits in the toddler girl section that I would wear. Is that normal? And where can I find those ruffle trim shorts and leopard sweats in my size? Seriously. I need those both right now.

What fall styles are you loving - for your little or yourself? I would love some new shops to check out. =)

Oh Hey Friday {August 8, 2014}

Happy Friday all! Let's not spend a lot of time talking about the fact that I've been MIA on Fridays for about a gajillion months and just jump right into a few of my favorite things as of late, shall we?

{ONE}
This necklace. I didn't think I would find an everyday necklace to replace the love I have for the gold/citrine one my mom, sister & I found at a little street fair in NYC a few years ago, but I am totally infatuated with this one. I can't stop rockin' gold these days and add personalized in the mix...and you've sucked me in. Especially when the personalization has to do with my fave little man.

{TWO}
Planning bachelorette party ONE of TWO for my best gal. I mean, when you are that special, you get two parties in your honor. That definitely doesn't suck. Lingerie and handcuffs for days.

I just booked our hotel rooms at Hotel Deco in Omaha. I seriously am in love with this place. The decor. The old building it resides in. The restaurant downstairs. Nick and I had a little staycation here for our second anniversary and I fell in love. Can't wait to celebrate my girl Angie here in just a few short weeks.

Next up, finalizing the details of her Austin, TX party. I've never been, so if anyone has any tips, places to go/see...I'm all ears.

{THREE}
Balls.

Not those kind of balls. Get yo head outta the gutter.

No, what I'm talking about are these balls. Energy balls. My SIL Morgan made me some (well, let's be honest they were for her but I snuck one...or two. Fine, three.) on our beach vacay last weekend and I couldn't get enough.

And since then I've made them and you all know I can't cook. They were easy AND delicious. Check them out.

{FOUR}
I've been in a bit of a rut lately with my work wardrobe. Enter this dress. I'm in love. The fabric. The ruching. The length. And the exposed zipper that runs up the back of the dress. I adore it all. And it hugs in all the right places. Which ladies, we know that is good. So of course I'm glad I bought it in both black and green.

{FIVE}
And finally, so I know that it's a bit biased and all to talk about how I think my son is just the cutest thing ever (well, he is) and how everything he does is fantastically amazing (it is), but can you look at this video and not fall in love. I mean, seriously. I think I've watched it no fewer than 10,000 times already.

Eat your heart out Jake Owen.

And have a great weekend, would ya?

Linking up with my farmer girl Karli for Oh Hey Friday and Amanda for Friday Favorites.

Formula Feeding vs. Breastfeeding...that is the question.

The lovely Julie over at The Girl in the Red Shoes has been oh so kind to feature my little twist on her popular Breastfeeding Diaries series.

As some of you may know, I didn't breastfeed.

So what does a girl like me, who knows nothing about breastfeeding - but the basics, of course - have to do with a breastfeeding series? Well, hop on over to Julie's blog and check it out.

And, this got me thinking. If you have a little one...or three, did you formula feed or breastfeed? What was your experience like?
