Had a great night at Justin with this lovely lady. How lucky am I that she is not only my sister, but also my best friend? Pretty lucky, I think. Also, JT - are you kidding me? Holy hotness. Great looking, can sing his ass off and those moves? Be still my heart.
I also joined the ranks of adulthood and ate sushi for like the second time in my life. Although the first time was a veggie roll, so I'm not sure it counts. Not only that. I used chopsticks. Yes I realize this is something people do all the time, but not me. I'm a use-a-fork-at-the-Asian-place kind of girl. Let's be honest, it wasn't pretty. And I think Tess got this pic before I squeezed that roll to death and it crumbled to my plate. But it's a start.
Saturday we made a quick road trip to West Point to surprise Nick's mom and take her to dinner. I mean, if this little guy walking up to your door, holding these gorgeous flowers isn't a fun surprise, I don't know what is.
At dinner at the Hideaway Lounge, we found this little gem in the men's room. Hilarious.
Sunday we did some shopping at the new outlet mall and checked out Big Cheese - a gourmet grilled cheese joint. Yum. Then I picked up these flowers on the cheap. After valentine's sale, one dozen for $13. Sign me up. Even if it's still winter outside, I'm going to make it feel like spring inside.
As I'm finishing this, Cruz walked over and asked "mama, can I get a kiss?" and leaned in for the real thing. Just as I was thinking it was the sweetest, most unexpected thing, he grabbed my arm and followed it up with, "now come on, I just pooped. Change my pants."
Gotta love being a mama.
Lol!!!!! Best ending to a post ever!! So jealous of you and Justin, I'm dying to see him!!

ReplyDeleteSuch a fun weekend! JT in concert HAS to be incredible! And, I just started eating sushi like 2 years ago and I'm totally hooked now. I like the veggie rolls and typically spicy tuna or spicy crab... nothing too crazy/raw/gross ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your little man - seriously, can he get any cuter? It must have been nice and warm in NE this weekend! All I could think was, where is his coat?! My arms would probably fall off in MN if I went outside without one. Also, I'm super jealous of all of your concerts, too. We saw JT a loooong time ago when he was just branching out on his own and it was so, so good. Fun!
ReplyDeleteI love all of this! Except maybe the sushi. Not sure about that. So sweet Cruz with those flowers! Has to just about melt your heart. That bathroom. Yes. I want to paint a mural like that in the guest bathroom. Okay that might be inappropriate for the kids but how funny?
ReplyDeleteAnd Cruz. You comedian you. Can you say potty training? ;)
Bahahaha. Cruz is hilarious :) At least you got a kiss first! Clay walks around going "pooooooopy." Thanks for teaching him that word, grandma.
