Time For A Beach Vacay

If -19 degree weather with drifting snow and loads of wind doesn't make me dream about being on a beach in warm, sunny weather....I don't know what does.

Which is why I'm more than stoked that last night my main squeeze told me he finalized our trip to Playa del Carmen for ONE MONTH from today!!!! (This definitely warrants multiple exclamation points...and back flips. Lot's of back flips.)

Nick and I haven't been on a beach vacation together, just the two of us, since our engagement trip to Cabo back in 2008.

Yes, you read that right. Which means we didn't even have a honeymoon. Which warrants all of this excitement from moi.

Seriously, in one month we will be here.

Adult only.

Gourment all-inclusive.

A casita with a private pool and access right into the lazy river.

All of the cocktails a girl can dream of.

Relaxing with a book, err iPad, while laying in the sun.

Spending time in the spa.

My idea of heaven.

It just makes my post from last week all that more important in my mind. This girl needs to make workin' on my fitness a top priority.

Speaking of, who has been doing the Squat Challenge?  I started Saturday and was dying both Saturday and Sunday, but since it's been pretty good. I think part of it was due to my TRX Training class on Saturday morning where they decided to burn out our legs (and I love them for it), but fortunately over the past couple days the squats have been easier and I can actually walk without a waddle. My goal is to actually look like I have a bit of a booty in my bikini.

And remember the $75 Victoria's Secret gift card giveaway? Maggie W. was our winner and my girl Maeg from The Modern Tulip has gotten in touch with her. Lucky lady. PS if you haven't checked out Maeg's new online boutique, you need to. So.Much.Cute.Stuff.

And one more thing, don't forget I have another giveaway going on, where someone will win TWO entries into the Omaha Color Me Rad race.  Just a couple more days left to enter! And if you aren't from the Omaha area, check out the other Color Me Rad race locations for a race near you and use code Kneehigh5 for $5 off the registration and a pair of CMR socks! Trust me, this is a race you don't want to miss!

Linking up with Ashley over at Words About Waverly for "it's the little things" because it's things like this that make me deliriously happy.

Ok, I think I'm done.

Now off to dig myself off so I can make it to work...

  12. Awesome! You and Nick will have so much fun - you deserve it! Too bad you weren't traveling back to Cabo at as I think we'll be vacationing in Playa at the same time. Though, we'll have two kids under 2 and a grandma along so come to think about it, you probably wouldn't want to spend too much time with us. :)
